Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had some highs and lows. The rooms were clean and comfy, but it was freezing cold when going to bed. The service was top-notch, with staff seemingly always running at 100mph to keep everything smooth. The location felt a bit scruffy, like a railway station. The dining was lovely, but we missed out on ordering pancakes and omelettes. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with a few quirks to consider.
The hotel had comfy and clean rooms, although they need blinds to block the blinding winter sun. The service was not very helpful and had some issues with extra charges. The location is convenient with historical significance, and the dining experience was pleasant but lacked awareness of all menu options.
The hotel was nice and peaceful, very quiet, which I liked. The food in the restaurant was lovely. However, the room overlooked an old set of garages/storage area, which was not a pleasant outlook. Considering this and the location, I felt it was overpriced.
From start to finish, my stay was fantastic. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, ensuring a quiet and restful night's sleep. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to make our special occasion memorable. The location, just off the main Galway to Sligo road, was convenient despite feeling a bit functional. The dining experience offered a lovely buffet-style meal with great variety, although I wish I knew about the option for pancakes and omelettes earlier. Overall, a top-notch place to stay.
